Spicy Vegan Meat Crumble (Bold & Smoky)

🥣 Ingredients:

1 cup textured vegetable protein (TVP) or cooked lentils

1 tbsp olive oil
-
3 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 small onion, diced
-
1 red chili or 1 tsp chili flakes
-
2 tbsp tomato paste
-
1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
-
1 tsp liquid smoke (optional but 🔥)
-
1 tsp smoked paprika
-
1/2 tsp cumin
-
1/2 tsp oregano
-
1 tsp maple syrup or coconut sugar
-
Salt & black pepper to taste

1/2 cup veggie broth or water (for rehydrating TVP)
🍳 Instructions:

Prep the Base
If using TVP: Pour hot veggie broth over it and let it rehydrate for 5–10 mins.
If using lentils: Have them cooked and ready. -
Sauté the Flavors
In a skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté onion, garlic, and chili until fragrant. -
Build the Heat
Add tomato paste, soy sauce, liquid smoke, paprika, cumin, and oregano. Stir to combine. -
Add the “Meat”
Toss in your rehydrated TVP or lentils. Cook for 5–7 mins until everything is browned and flavorful. -
Finish Sweet & Spicy
Stir in maple syrup, season with salt and pepper, and cook another 2 mins.
